Position Summary
The Food and Beverage Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the management team in overseeing restaurant, banquet, and breakfast operations. This position requires a proactive approach, ensuring smooth service while actively engaging with the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as Manager on Duty during meal services.
• Facilitate training, coaching, and mentoring for restaurant and bar personnel.
• Generate daily reports on service metrics and operational insights.
• Supervise staff during service, providing assistance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding specials and expectations.
• Oversee opening and closing tasks to ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify new business opportunities.
• Meet regularly with the Restaurant Manager to discuss project progress and future tasks.
• Address urgent issues with the Restaurant Manager or F&B Manager promptly.
• Assist in planning and executing catering and special events.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the breakfast area.
• Conduct daily inventory checks and restock supplies as necessary.
• Exhibit strong attention to service quality and presentation.
• Aid in scheduling and payroll management for the team.
• Engage with guests to provide a visible leadership presence.
• Participate in food ordering processes as required.
• Support staff development through feedback and performance evaluations.
• Complete assigned reports and administrative tasks on time.
• Collaborate across all F&B sectors, including breakfast, lounge, and banquets.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in food and beverage management is preferred.
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
Work Environment
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Candidates should be comfortable working in varying conditions, including wet and hot environments, and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
