Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

The George Washington University Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse to join our renowned healthcare team. As a critical care nurse, you will deliver compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced monitoring technology to assess and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other relevant data.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
- Apply advanced critical thinking skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans for complex medical conditions.
- Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the ongoing improvement of nursing practices within the ICU.
- BSN or currently enrolled.
- DC RN License, or eligibility.
- Critical Care experience: 1 year full time experience or 2 years part time experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
