Job Summary:

Catholic Health Service is seeking a skilled RN to join our team at the Heart Center. As a Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and education in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough patient cardiac history and risk factors.
• Conduct assessments of blood pressure and accurately use the cholestech machine.
• Educate patients on exercise, diet, and lifestyle modifications to reduce cardiovascular disease risk.
• Manage patient information accurately and document patient care thoroughly.
• Evaluate patient response to information given and make appropriate referrals.

Requirements:

• BSN in nursing required.
• Med-Surg clinical experience with an emphasis on cardiovascular care, minimum of 2 years required.
• Patient teaching/counseling experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association.
