Position Overview: Executive Creative Director

As the Executive Creative Director (ECD), you will serve as a pivotal leader within the agency, steering the creative vision across various teams to develop and deliver award-winning solutions. Your role will not only involve elevating the creative output of your teams but also ensuring seamless integration across multiple disciplines.

You will continue to produce notable work personally, which is both expected and essential, but the true fulfillment will come from nurturing your teams' talents and ideas, making them clearer, stronger, and more engaging.

Your relationship with clients will be robust, characterized by open communication and collaboration. Your positive demeanor will help navigate challenges and maintain a focus on producing exceptional creative work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and elevate creative leadership at all levels within the agency.
  • Provide strategic concept guidance to enhance creative endeavors.
  • Foster and maintain a vibrant culture within the creative department and the agency as a whole.
  • Present and articulate concepts and deliverables to both current and prospective clients.
  • Drive continuous improvement in creative processes and methodologies.
  • Align creative objectives with the overarching goals of both the agency and clients.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Creative on staffing strategies and team structure.
  • Lead creative initiatives on multiple accounts, particularly as co-lead on major CPG clients, producing culturally relevant and industry-recognized work that addresses client challenges.
  • Oversee and guide the creative efforts of teams under your leadership.
  • Engage regularly with strategy, account management, and media teams to foster integrated thinking.
  • Mentor and develop writers and art directors across assigned accounts.
  • Curate and collaborate with creative vendors and production partners.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in team leadership and development.
  • 15+ years of experience in the agency or brand landscape.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as advertising, journalism, communication, marketing, or design.
  • A diverse portfolio that demonstrates a keen eye for strategy, design, and copy across various project types and mediums.
  • Experience leading teams and working with clients across multiple categories.
  • Proficient in the Adobe Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital and social media platforms.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that brings energy, perspective, and a relentless drive to our established yet innovative agency.
