Nurse Practitioner

Virtua Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
- Administer and monitor therapeutic interventions and regimes, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Effectively manage rapidly changing situations, prioritizing patient needs and communicating with the healthcare team.
- Participate in clinical decision-making, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team, ensuring seamless care delivery.
- Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in orientation, education, and development of healthcare team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Identify and participate in performance improvement activities, contributing to the advancement of nursing practice and patient care.
To be considered for this role, you must have a valid NJ RN License and demonstrate knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers are essential.
