Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Natural Gas Trader to join our team at NextEra Energy, Inc. As a key member of our Energy Trading department, you will be responsible for short-term natural gas procurement and optimization, working closely with various teams to ensure alignment and compliance with all relevant management systems and risk guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with gas producers, marketers, and operations to ensure optimal gas supply costs and maximize profits for our generation portfolio.
  • Monitor market conditions and analyze transactions to identify and execute energy trades that benefit the organization.
  • Optimize economics to assure minimum energy supply costs and maximize profits for our generation portfolio.
  • Determine generation requirements and coordinate fuel procurement to meet obligations.
  • Coach junior traders and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 1+ years
