At Empire Care Centers, we prioritize the well-being of both our residents and our staff. We foster a family-like atmosphere where everyone is valued and respected.
We are looking for a Night Shift Supervisor (7:00 pm - 7:00 am) to oversee the provision of care to our residents. The Supervisor will evaluate resident needs, deliver nursing care, assess nursing services, and supervise both LPNs and CNAs.
Key Responsibilities of the Supervisor Include:
- Support the Director of Nursing and Unit Manager with staffing needs - including recommendations for the Nursing department, conducting interviews, and onboarding new staff.
- Provide Clinical Leadership - Collaborate with the DON and Unit Manager to effectively design, organize, direct, and execute a comprehensive nursing program.
- Offer Nursing Leadership to achieve organizational goals and meet the specific needs of the center.
- Work alongside the DON to ensure accurate and timely compliance among nursing staff, CNAs, and medical professionals.
- Engage in Interdisciplinary Care Plan meetings actively.
- Ensure that the Interdisciplinary Care Plan addresses all relevant indicators.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other professionals to gather insights on residents' conditions and progress towards care plan objectives.
- Exhibit effective communication skills with various disciplines.
- Prepare precise reports on Quality Measures/Quality Indicators (QM/QI) based on RAI/MDS data. Track and analyze this information to enhance the Interdisciplinary Team's knowledge and improve care quality through performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate actively in Quality Improvement efforts.
- Develop and implement an educational plan to adapt to evolving program or service needs for oneself and others.
- License: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Covid-19 vaccination required
