Provides professional support to county-owned and leased facilities, ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans and directs design professionals in architectural and space planning activities.
- Designs and stamps drawings for building interior retrofits and other architectural designs.
- Provides professional support to county-owned and leased facilities.
- Ensures timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Leverages technical expertise to perform and review reports, design drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets for commercial building architectural/space planning projects.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field.
- Four years of progressively responsible professional experience in architectural design and planning.
- Possession of a valid Virginia Professional Architect license.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience in interpreting and applying building codes and regulations.
- Proficient in reading architectural, structural, and engineering plans.
- Registered with NCARB.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders, access tight spaces, crawl, reach, lift 25 lbs, push 25lbs, etc.
- Communicate with others verbally and in writing.
- Dexterity to use hand tools.
- Drive a motor vehicle.
- Mobile to access active construction sites.
Selection Procedure:
- Panel interview and may include practical exercise.
