RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated Float Diagnostic and Therapeutic Injection (DTI) Technologist to enhance our imaging services.
Role Summary:
As a Float DTI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment across various facilities to capture diagnostic images of patients. Your role is crucial in ensuring that imaging services meet professional standards while providing excellent care to patients and collaborating with referring specialists.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule, offering hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including a weekend rotation. There is also an opportunity for part-time work at a 0.8 or 0.9 status, with cross-training available in CT or MRI modalities in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Imaging (80%):
- Conduct routine and advanced imaging procedures on specific body areas for diagnostic purposes with minimal supervision.
- Screen patients for any precautions or contraindications prior to examinations.
- Clearly explain procedures to patients and position them appropriately for optimal imaging.
- Adjust scanning parameters as necessary to ensure high-quality images.
- Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients as needed.
- Adhere strictly to physicians' orders and safety regulations to protect patients and staff.
- Accurately document patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for all.
2. Imaging Support (15%):
- Ensure imaging equipment is well-maintained and sanitized after each use.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.
- Assist in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual.
- Support the training of new team members by sharing expertise and resources.
3. Additional Duties (5%):
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the department's operations.
