Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Sales Associate to join our team at Food Lion. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our produce department meets the highest standards of quality and freshness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the produce department
  • Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines
  • Unload trucks for the produce department
  • Understand and use company tools, such as ACIS and CAO
  • Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies, and standard practice
  • Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures
  • Report all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron, complete with name badge, when on duty
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to use technical information to solve problems
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
Working Conditions

The Produce Sales Associate will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. The associate will also be required to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
