BryComm is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our Structured Cabling Team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure in a low-voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the worksite while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to industry standards and best practices.
  • Run, pull, and terminate copper cables.
  • Assist colleagues with installation and routine maintenance of structured cabling systems.
  • Ensure that products are installed to industry standards, faceplates and labels are neat and plumb, and the overall appearance is professional.
  • Maintain project housekeeping protocols.
  • Assist with tracking site tools and materials to avoid loss or damage.

Requirements:

  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Demonstrate the ability to ask relevant questions and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Punctuality and consistent daily attendance.
  • Basic hand tools owned by the employee, including a drill, snips, screwdrivers, punch tools, toner and probe, and level.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools to perform assigned job site tasks.
  • Understanding of safety as it relates to each division and the use of appropriate safety measures in daily tasks.
  • Familiarity with industry and best practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work successfully independently and in a group setting.
  • Ability to install cabling according to industry standards with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to install cable pathways, including J-Hooks, Basket Tray, and Ladder Rack.
  • Ability to dress cables neatly and in-line with applicable standards.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools to assist in building out data closets, including 2-Post Racks, Ladder Rack, and setting cabinets.
  • Ability to terminate and install standard industry copper connectors with minimal supervision/training, including 4-Pair cable terminations, Multi-Pair cable termination, and applicable color codes.
  • Coaxial terminations.
  • Basic troubleshooting, including toning, butt-set, etc.
  • Basic alert cabling terminations, including speakers and horns.
  • Familiarity with fiber products.
  • Ability to identify different fiber types, including single-mode and multimode.
  • Ability to identify different fiber connectors, including LC, SC, ST, MPO, and APC.
  • Some entry-level manufacturer and/or industry training, examples include CommScope Uniprise or Panduit PCT.
  • Basic understanding of bonding and grounding installation principles, including Telecommunication Busbars, Compression style connectors, and routing and installation of bonding conductors.
  • Basic understanding of firestopping principles, including Firestop Caulk, Firestop Pillows, and Firestop Putties.
  • Basic understanding of transmission principles, including copper, fiber, and copper testing – setup testing equipment and save test results.
  • Ability to properly read redline drawings with accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Limited experience up to 2 years.
  • OSHA 10 certification, preferred but not required for hire.
  • Aerial lift certification.
  • Fall protection certification/training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Able to work on a ladder up to 8 hours.
  • Able to work in confined spaces.
