We are looking for an experienced ISP/Fiber Splicing Technician in Austin, Texas, to install, maintain, and repair fiber optic equipment at remote terminals, central offices (COs), HUTs, and data centers. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in fiber optic testing, troubleshooting, and network configuration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic equipment in remote terminals, central offices, HUTs, and data centers.
  • Perform fiber optic testing, troubleshooting, and splicing (including single and ribbon fiber).
  • Configure and manage fiber optic network components.
  • Accurately document and maintain records of all work performed.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation as needed.

Requirements:
  • Experience in fiber optic splicing (single and ribbon fiber).
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic networks and equipment.
  • Ability to perform testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems.
  • Strong attention to detail for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
