Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Drucker and Falk, LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to all vacant units, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work.
  • Respond to on-call requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly.
  • Assist the Maintenance Superintendent and other team members as needed, providing support with tasks such as inventory control and material management.
  • Inspect properties for improvements and repairs, identifying areas for enhancement and presenting recommendations to the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Perform work order requests and assist with maintenance requests, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure that the grounds are free of litter and debris at all times, maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Operate and perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment, including but not limited to, HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and electrical appliances.
  • Paint interior and exterior surfaces as required, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of personal hygiene and cleanliness while on the job, maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect for colleagues and residents.
  • Understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration, working effectively with other staff members to achieve common goals.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist at other sites as needed, and be prepared to transfer to another property if required.
  • Assist the Property Manager and other staff members as requested, providing support with tasks such as work order management and resident communication.
  • Perform work orders with a focus on same-day completion, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Review work orders with the Maintenance Superintendent on a daily basis, identifying areas for improvement and presenting recommendations for enhancement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager or Maintenance Superintendent, maintaining a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Responsible for adherence to policies outlined in the Employee Handbook, maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect for company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for keeping the Maintenance shop clean and organized at all times, maintaining a high level of tidiness and attention to detail.
  • Be immediately available in the event of snow, ensuring that all properties are safe and secure.
  • Follow the Maintenance General Operating Policies, maintaining a high level of compliance and adherence to company procedures.
  • After-hours on-call required on a rotating basis, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Must have reliable transportation, ensuring that you are able to respond to on-call requests and attend to tasks in a timely manner.
