Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at ResourceMFG. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and guidance to team leaders in production departments, including raw ingredient preparation, cooking, filling, and case packing.
- Maintain line efficiency and productivity, ensuring up to 90 employees are working effectively.
- Ensure all employees adhere to company safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Manage, coach, and develop direct reports to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), action plan indicators, and process performance indicators.
- Ensure finished products meet specifications and manage teams to produce quality products efficiently, meeting time and quantity goals.
- Motivate teams to exceed daily production metric targets, such as units per man hour.
- Complete documentation accurately for traceability and follow good manufacturing practices.
- Escalate safety or quality issues as needed during your shift.
- Handle transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Manage employee work schedules, breaks, and ensure they are punctual.
- Plan activities in advance to minimize production downtime.
- Regularly assess production efficiency, track performance, and look for ways to continually improve processes.
- Communicate updates and changes to the management team.
Requirements:
- 2 years of management or supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in food production, beverage, or bottling.
- Experience in a Lean Manufacturing or Total Productive Maintenance environment (preferred).
- Experience working with perishable items (strongly preferred).
- Manage and record transactions within an ERP system.
- Proven track record in safe working practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, goal-oriented, and well-organized.
- Problem-solver, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects.
