Job Title: CDL Driver

Diamond Pet Foods is a leading manufacturer of premium pet food, committed to providing the best nutrition for every pet. We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Driver to join our team at our Frontenac, Kansas facility.

Job Summary:

The CDL Driver will be responsible for safely transporting products and materials between local locations, adhering to all food safety and personal safety standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport products and materials between local locations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections, completing required driving paperwork and communicating maintenance needs to the team.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Utilize off-duty shuttle time to benefit warehouse processes, such as moving trailers, sanitation, and loading/unloading trucks.
  • Unload shuttle freight and properly rotate stock for FIFO practices.
  • Respectfully operate equipment to maintain a positive working relationship with neighbors.
  • Clean up at the end of each shift and manage fluid levels for the next operator.
  • Strive to achieve team productivity measurements while maintaining a high level of focus on quality and safety.
Requirements:
  • CDL-A license
  • One year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a routine basis
  • Push/Pull up to 100 pounds on a routine basis
  • Ability to work in extreme heat or cold
