**Job Summary**

The Service Advisor plays a critical role in the success of our commercial truck dealership by selling and scheduling needed service work for our customers. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Gather customer complaint details and expectations, and provide solutions to meet their needs.
  • Perform vehicle walk-around inspections to verify vehicle information and identify potential issues.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and recommend necessary repairs, and communicate with customers to explain the work required.
  • Advise customers on the importance of regular maintenance and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Write up customer vehicle problems accurately and clearly, and obtain customer signatures.
  • Establish promised time and communicate with our service team to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Establish customer payment methods and obtain credit approval as necessary.
  • Create repair orders and secure service input cards with customer signatures.
  • Monitor repair progress and communicate with customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One year of service experience or equivalent experience and/or education.
  • Appropriate manufacturer training.
  • Valid CDL license.
  • Driving record that will allow insurability by our company's carrier.
