Kitchen Operations Manager

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and maintaining high-quality food products. About the Job
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food products are consistently prepared and served according to established recipes and procedures. You will also be responsible for training new staff members, maintaining accurate records of food and condiment inventories, and purchasing supplies as needed. Additionally, you will work closely with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure seamless execution of menu items and efficient use of resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff and BOH operations to deliver quality cuisine and achieve optimal customer satisfaction
- Train, develop, and manage kitchen staff members and their schedules
- Oversee day-to-day food prep for all menu items
- Maintain food and condiment inventories at optimal levels
- Ensure all food items and condiments are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, and serving standards
- Responsible for purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting all food products in a timely manner, according to established recipes, and procedures
- Ensure all kitchen surfaces and equipment receive proper daily cleaning
- Work seamlessly in a team environment
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations pertaining to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of kitchen management experience
- Excellent leadership skills and 'can-do' attitude
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers
- Outstanding customer service skills and passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Professional appearance and attitude required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (6-7 hours at a time)
- Must be able to work about 40 hours per week
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Estimated salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year.
