Internship Description

Clinical Support Internship (Full-time, unpaid)

Enhance your academic journey with a leading provider of Community Re-Entry and Residential Therapeutic services. Bridges International stands as the oldest and most effective private non-profit organization delivering re-entry services in Florida, with a commitment to expanding its impact on inmates and probationers worldwide. Under the guidance of the Assistant Clinical Facility Director, our Counselor Interns, holding Bachelor's or Master's degrees, will support counselors and staff in the operational activities of our Orlando facility. This internship is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in their field of study. The Clinical Support Intern will observe, learn, and assist in fundamental clinical tasks while gaining insights into the role of a Counselor within a nonprofit and social service context. Candidates should possess a strong desire to learn and grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures associated with the role.

2. Document and organize all Urinalysis results in clinical records.

3. Assist in the intake and admission paperwork for programs.

4. Prepare clinical files for clients upon their admission.

5. Maintain accurate filing of clinical documents in patient charts.

6. Ensure compliance with all organizational standards and policies.

7. Report any violations of company policy or ethical standards that come to your attention.

8. Notify supervisors of any unsafe conditions that may impact clients or staff.

9. Complete and maintain all necessary clinical documentation in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards.

10. Conduct case management for clients as required.

11. Be available for emergency counseling sessions as needed during shifts.

12. Proficiently communicate in English, both written and verbal.

13. Follow all applicable policies and procedures relevant to the job description.

14. Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications
