As a Cyber Security Engineer III, you will play a key role in supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific with cybersecurity capability development, reviews, testing, training, threat and risk assessments, engineering process improvement, and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) Services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C4ISR projects, including Cybersecurity Technical Authority (CSTA), Navy Cyber Situational Awareness (NCSA), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) up to the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level. You will lead and mentor a large team across various Cybersecurity/Information Assurance (CS/IA) tasking in developing, analyzing, and implementing cybersecurity technical standards, tools, and processes in support of Technical Authorities and the Cybersecurity Technical Authority Board (TAB).

This position requires strong leadership skills, as you will be accountable for program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. You will also serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) to coordinate with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Integrated Product Team (IPT), and Technical Leadership, as well as external customers to meet program deliverables.

You will be responsible for managing resources and removing impediments for multiple cross-functional teams, attending weekly and daily customer meetings, making innovative recommendations for their issues, and growing and developing the team's technical and leadership skills.

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Management and Policy, Engineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of experience on C4ISR projects and significant contributions in two or more CS/IA areas, including CS/IA Compliance, Software Assurance and Security Engineering, Systems Security Architecture, Systems Security Analysis, Threat Analysis, Exploitation Analyses, and Security Program Management.

A CISSP, ISSEP, or ISSAP certification, as well as an active TS/SCI clearance, are also required. Desired qualifications include an active PMP or PMI certification, experience in RMF, Navy RMF Process Guide, IA TA Standards, CYBERSAFE, and NCSA, and CSTA standards and DFIANT implementation/development.

In this role, you will directly support NIWC Pacific on-site in San Diego, CA, with minimal travel expected.
