Restaurant General Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee the front-of-house operations at our luxury waterfront resort. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and beverage management, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage front-of-house restaurant operations to ensure compliance with resort objectives and health and safety protocols.
  • Train staff in standards, including Forbes compliance, menu items, and overall food and beverage functions.
  • Ensure departmental work schedules follow staffing guidelines and that staffing levels are sufficient to provide excellent customer service.
  • Interact positively with guests while providing a high-quality dining experience.
  • Promote resort facilities and services.
  • Manage guest feedback and resolve any issues.
  • Organize restaurant special events.
  • Monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
  • Maintain positive employee morale and encourage team building.
  • Maintain profitability of the restaurant to support overall resort operation.
  • Ensure par stock levels are maintained, order and retrieve supplies and stock.
  • Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation.
  • Create forecasts and revenue reports.
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment and train staff on proper use.
  • Manage special projects, run promotions, handle public relations, and marketing.
  • Maintain and enforce food handling regulations and other guidelines.
Requirements and Skills:
  • College degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of previous Food and Beverage experience.
  • Working knowledge of Forbes standards.
  • At least 5+ years as a General Manager in a luxury restaurant preferred.
  • Must have a general understanding of budgets, P&L statements, and Capex.
  • Knowledge of F&B systems, inventory, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to communicate across all departments.
  • Expert knowledge of Food and Beverage outlet operations.
