Job Summary

Harbortown Treatment Center, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by accurately and efficiently collecting and preparing blood samples for laboratory analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients in a clinical setting and prepare them for laboratory processing.
  • Assemble and maintain equipment, such as tourniquets, needles, and blood collection devices, to ensure accurate and efficient sample collection.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of collected samples to maintain data integrity.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, including demographic data and medical history.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Properly store and transport samples to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and advancements.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
  • Current phlebotomy certification.
  • At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping purposes.
