Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of our company, interacting with patients who come in for routine health checks or life-defining health decisions. As a PSR I, you will draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draw blood samples from patients in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
  • Explain procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Process forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
