Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing quality patient care and technical skilled care in the patient's home. As an LPN with Ochsner Home Health of New Orleans, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and families, and make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Quality Patient Care: As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care and performing technical skilled care in the patient's home, in accordance with the plan of care and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.
- Instruct Patients and Families: You will instruct patients and their families in the care of the patient and maintenance of a healthy environment for the patient.
- Monitor Patient Progress: You will observe, record, and report to the supervising nurse and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition daily.
Requirements
- Current LPN Licensure: You must have current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
- Driver's License and Vehicle Insurance: You must have a current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- CPR Certification: You must have CPR certification.
Additional Requirements
- LA: Current LPN Licensure in LA without Restrictions: In Louisiana, you must have current LPN licensure in LA without restrictions. At a minimum, one year of experience working as an LPN is required.
