Job Overview

Blue Cliff College is seeking a highly qualified Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor to join our team. As a clinical instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in a clinical setting, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive education in nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students, ensuring that they meet the required number of contact hours.
  • Conduct clinical sessions using organized and interesting methods, mimicking a work environment and facilitating student motivation.
  • Relate class content to clinical experiences, ensuring that students understand the practical application of nursing concepts.
  • Complete and submit all end-of-quarter grades and evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Implement and adhere to all school policies and regulations, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Monitor and record daily clinical attendance, ensuring that students meet attendance requirements.
  • Evaluate student competency in all skills related to each course, providing feedback and guidance to students.
  • Develop student skill sets in a manner that prepares students to provide safe and effective patient care within the identified scope of practice.
  • Provide tutoring and informal advising to students as needed, ensuring that they receive support and guidance throughout their program.
  • Attend faculty meetings, in-service training sessions, and instructional meetings as required, staying current with best practices in nursing education.

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of an associate degree in nursing.
  • Have three (3) years of clinical experience working as a registered nurse.
  • Have intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Hold a current AHA CPR certification as well as maintain immunization records for TB, flu, and COVID.
  • Hold an unencumbered and current state license.
