Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key player in the development and improvement of our manufacturing processes, you will be responsible for studying product and manufacturing methods, designing and conducting research programs, and evaluating manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, and conferring with equipment vendors.
- Assure product quality by designing testing methods, testing finished-product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.
- Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, and requesting special service.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product development within the manufacturing industry, with specific experience in injection molded plastics.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, and production management.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks software and other engineering tools.
- A proactive approach, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
