Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick-up and delivery of surplus equipment and materials from campus departments and facilities.
  • Sort and prepare surplus equipment for onsite auctions, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Attach and verify asset tags on surplus items, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with inventory management procedures.
  • Track and manage repurposed surplus items for campus departments, ensuring timely and efficient distribution.
  • Assist in maintaining the loading and unloading area, ensuring compliance with Environmental Health and Safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with campus staff, resolving customer inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Act as a backup to the Logistics Associate II, as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License required.
  • Up to two years of job-related experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift Certification through OSHA-certified training program.
  • Experience with TMA to review and process work orders.
  • Transport/Delivery Services management experience.
  • Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including box trucks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a non-supervisory position.
  • This position does not have financial responsibilities.
  • This position requires the ability to drive and obtain a security clearance.
  • This role is considered a position of trust.
