Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to customers, ensuring their parking experience is smooth and hassle-free.
  • Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces, ensuring efficient use of parking facilities.
  • Count vehicles on location throughout your shift, as needed.
  • Issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors who violate garage policies, and patrol transient and reserved parking levels as required.
  • Assist customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
  • Be punctual and present for every scheduled shift, in uniform.
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Report any accidents, observed or suspected policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other issues to the garage office.
  • Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to assist customers in a seamless transportation experience.
  • Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
  • The ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus.
  • Availability to work special shifts if needed (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends).
  • Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S. (must provide valid documentation if hired).
  • The ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
  • The ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
  • The ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.
