Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Perioperative Services department at Kaiser Permanente. As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 9 months of RN experience, with at least 2 years of critical care experience in ICU, ED, or PACU.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a current RN license in the state where care is provided.
  • Basic Life Support certification, with Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 6 months of hire.
  • Computer keyboarding skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous healthcare experience, with a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Certifications in CPAN, CCRN, or CAPA, with PALS preferred upon hire/transfer.
