Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a full-time Mid-Level Business Analyst to join our team. This role will be instrumental in supporting cyber analysis and development capabilities to address the needs of the Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) in areas such as Cyber Situational Awareness, Cyber Command and Control, Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Mid-Level Business Analyst, you will engage in agile development processes, participating in scrum ceremonies including:

  • Work item refinement
  • Daily stand-ups
  • Sprint planning
  • Program Increment (PI) planning
  • Collaboration with Product Owners (PO)
In this dynamic environment, you will take on multiple roles within a cross-functional team, focusing primarily on requirement analysis and algorithm evaluation.

Requirement Analysis Duties:
In this capacity, your responsibilities will include:

  • Gaining domain knowledge about the program and legacy systems to ensure consistency in implementation strategies.
  • Facilitating discussions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Identifying business needs and translating them into user stories for the development team.
  • Creating wireframes to depict overall functionality.
  • Maintaining close communication with the Product Owner to ensure that acceptance criteria are met and that backlog priorities align with the product roadmap.
  • Developing valid dependency strategies at the user story level to fulfill stakeholder requirements.
  • Coordinating with developers to identify necessary enablers during refinement sessions.
  • Collaborating with the PO and Tester to ensure products meet defined business rules and function as intended.

Algorithm Evaluation Duties:
Your role will also involve:

  • Analyzing business logic as defined by end-users and existing legacy documentation.

Training Responsibilities:
Additional requirements include:

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including potential for overseas travel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Clearance.

Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active or Interim DoD SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Clearance.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software engineering activities, including analysis, requirements gathering, design, coding, and testing.
  • Experience with collaborative tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in creating process flows, use cases, and user stories.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including Docker, RedHat OpenShift, and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience acting as a Proxy-Product Owner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a self-organizing team.
  • Effective communication skills within a large, dynamic team environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Visio and Project.

Desired Skills:
While not required, the following skills are advantageous:

  • Experience with custom software development projects.
  • Experience working with DoD clients.
  • Experience in cybersecurity projects.
