ABOUT THE ROLE
In 2024, Higher Ground Labs is launching a groundbreaking compensated community engagement initiative across key battleground states.
This initiative aims to recruit over 20,000 individuals from low turnout demographics to serve as community organizers, encouraging their networks to participate in the electoral process.
We are seeking a candidate with a deep understanding of North Carolina's political landscape, proven experience in relationship building, event management, and recruitment.
The North Carolina Recruitment Coordinator will collaborate with the Deputy Partnerships Director to implement the in-state recruitment strategy for Higher Ground Labs' national initiative.
This position is vital for overseeing on-the-ground efforts in North Carolina, engaging potential organizers throughout the state, and maximizing the impact of our recruitment strategies.
This is a full-time, remote, and temporary role.

JOB DUTIES
Design and execute effective recruitment strategies to engage low turnout voters in North Carolina, aligning with the overarching goals of Higher Ground Labs' national initiative.
Establish and nurture relationships with local leaders, organizations, and key stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts and promote program objectives.
Organize and oversee recruitment events across the state, ensuring high levels of engagement and participation from potential organizers.
Work closely with the Deputy Partnerships Director to ensure that in-state recruitment aligns with national strategies and goals.
Track and analyze recruitment metrics, providing regular updates to the Deputy Partnerships Director and relevant team members.
Utilize data-driven methods to identify target demographics for recruitment, adjusting strategies based on performance insights.
Proactively address challenges that arise during the recruitment process, maintaining a solutions-oriented approach.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in planning and executing large-scale events, creating an engaging atmosphere, particularly for younger voters.
Familiarity with innovative recruitment techniques and a willingness to adapt to new tools and platforms.
Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in data management tools for tracking and reporting recruitment metrics.
Strong awareness of current political trends and dynamics, especially in North Carolina.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and promoting diversity within recruitment efforts.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, capable of working effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
