Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Paramedic level instructor to join our team at Utahs Paramedic Inc. As an EMT Basic and EMT Advanced instructor, you will lead a class of students through a successful 12-week course, creating and implementing a comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching. They should have a strong understanding of teaching principles and classroom management best practices. A background in emergency medical services (EMS) is required, and paramedic certification is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan a comprehensive classroom curriculum that meets school standards.
  • Teach EMT level skills, including ambulance protocols and procedures.
  • Help develop virtual reality (VR) curriculum and instruct in a simulated ambulance environment.
  • Encourage the development of students' critical thinking skills.
  • Prepare and assign learning materials, including homework and quizzes.
  • Take attendance, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Document students' progress and collaborate with other teachers to create a healthy and safe learning environment.
  • Report and document behavioral incidents, adhering to company policies.


Qualifications:
  • Current Paramedic certification.
  • Licensed by BEMPS or willing to obtain certification rapidly.
  • Actual experience as an EMT advanced or paramedic.
  • Strong understanding of teaching principles, classroom management, and education best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
