Job Title: Tax Consultant

Compeer Financial is seeking a collaborative and innovative Tax Consultant to join our team. As a Tax Consultant, you will provide tax preparation, planning, and consulting support to clients and the Tax and Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tax estimates and income tax returns for clients in a timely manner, adhering to IRS code requirements and Compeer policies and procedures.
  • Research and present tax planning opportunities for client portfolios under the guidance of a Senior Tax Consultant.
  • Maintain an established portfolio of tax clients and partner with Senior Tax Consultants during transition meetings.
  • Provide accurate and timely accounting processing and delivery of financial statements to clients.
  • Responsible for less complex accounting accounts, including depreciation, payroll processing, and full-service accounts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of tax preparation experience preferred.
  • Progressively gains more knowledge of Compeer's products, services, and farm tax principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
  • Exercises a high level of ethical and professional judgment, with a strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and tax and accounting software.
