College Health Specialist

UW-Madison Division of Continuing Studies is seeking an obstetrician-gynecologist to provide direct care to students within an integrated, interdisciplinary team-based model of care. The ideal candidate will support experienced advanced practice providers and serve as a subject matter expert and consultant for complex patient cases and procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care 1-2 days per week at the 333 East Campus Mall clinic, with flexibility on day of the week and option for reduced hours during winter and summer break.
- Be available for phone consultation in a reasonable timeframe to support APP practice, with occasional after-hours and weekend calls.
- Develop and evaluate care plans, interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications and treatments in support of patient health and well-being.
- Examine, assess, and treat patients, review patient records and update medical history, and order and interpret diagnostic test results.
- Counsel patients on health and wellness topics, and communicate treatment plans with patients and other members of the patient care team.
- Colposcopy, Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP), Paracervical blocks, Hymenectomy, Vulvar abscess incision and drainage, Bartholin abscess, and Pelvic ultrasound experience.
- Previous experience in college health, adolescent medicine, or a related field, and experience serving diverse populations, including transgender and gender diverse patients.
