Nurse Practitioner

• Provide total nursing care to residents on assigned units, including delegation of duties and staff performance management.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with allied health team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, evaluating their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents, including physical, social, and psychological well-being.
• Participate in resident and family teaching, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
• Monitor team member performance, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Assign nursing care duties to team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Stay current with facility policies, procedures, and nursing trends through ongoing education and training.
• Recognize and respond to significant changes in resident condition, taking necessary action to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program.
• Wisconsin registration as a professional nurse.
• No abuse convictions.

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to follow facility policies and procedures.
• Ability to speak English in an understandable manner.
• Ability to see, hear, or use prosthetics to ensure adequate senses for job requirements.
• Ability to work with residents who may be ill, disabled, elderly, mentally ill, emotionally upset, or hostile.
