About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Associate to join our team at the University of Minnesota. This is a key role that will provide administrative support to our faculty and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide direct support to faculty and staff, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and anticipating and resolving conflicts.
  • Leadership: Lead the day-to-day administrative operations of the division, including functions as the subject matter expert for administrative staff on University, Medical School and division-specific policies and procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and maintain administrative processes and procedures, making recommendations to the Division Administrator on operational improvements and opportunities for efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant University policies, including educating faculty, staff, and researchers on University, Medical School and division-specific policies.
  • Training and Development: Lead the training, onboarding, and offboarding of administrative staff and other staff or faculty as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years.
  • Experience: Experience providing direct administrative support to high-level professionals, leaders, or executives in a medical or other highly specialized setting.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse audiences and other team members.
