Job Summary

SP+ is seeking a Shuttle Driver to join our team. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of passengers. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a difference in the lives of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Operate shuttle buses in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness of bus interiors.
  • Log trip counts and assist disabled passengers as needed.
  • Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
  • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license and have an acceptable DMV record.
  • Courteously assist customers and direct them to the Facility Manager as needed.
  • Report any known accidents, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate with the garage office regarding debris, water, oil spills and other issues.
  • Substitute for cashiers or valets when necessary, if authorized.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area.
  • Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable.
  • Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required to have and maintain a valid state driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
  • A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
  • Availability to work special shifts, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company.
  • Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
