Editorial Manager

City Lifestyle is seeking a highly organized and creative Editorial Manager to oversee the editorial content of our Santa Barbara Coast City Lifestyle magazine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the editorial themes, supervising freelance writers and photographers, and organizing all editorial content for the monthly publication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and assign photography and editorial content for all issues.
  • Ensure all photography and editorial content meets defined specifications, including deadline and style.
  • Manage relationships with freelance contractors (writers and photographers).
  • Track payments due to freelance contractors and submit this information to the publisher monthly.
Requirements:
  • Residence in the Santa Barbara, CA area is a must.
  • Experience in writing, creating content, or visually creative work and leadership skills.
  • A professional and personable demeanor as you represent the publication during interviews and community research.
  • Robust organizational skills as our deadlines are very strict in order to create the high-quality publications that we do on a monthly basis.
  • Proficient in AP Style Writing.
