Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our critical care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and services to patients of all ages and classifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient data and interpret relevant information to identify individual patient needs and provide appropriate care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address respiratory conditions and diseases.
  • Provide oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and humidification, as well as mechanical ventilation and physiotherapy services.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including obtaining respiratory histories, auscultation, and spirometry.
  • Draw arterial blood for blood gas analysis and maintain and operate blood gas analyzers.
  • Transport patients requiring respiratory assistance within the medical center or to other locations.
Requirements:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registry eligible with one year of current experience.
  • Graduate of a 2-year Respiratory Care Accrediting Board (RCAB) approved school of Respiratory Care.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
