Clinical Respiratory Care Educator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with academic staff to design and execute laboratory exercises.
Conduct regular meetings with students to monitor progress.
Engage consistently with the Didactic Instructor in the specialized field.
Provide constructive feedback to the Didactic Instructor, Clinical Director, and/or Program Director regarding the learning needs of individual students.
Maintain comprehensive records of student performance, assessments, progress, and assignments in partnership with the course instructor, ensuring confidentiality of all files.
Exhibit and uphold a thorough understanding of program and course objectives.Stay updated on all clinical skills equipment and its functionality.
Participate in faculty development sessions and professional associations.
Counsel students on academic matters.
Assist in evaluating student assignments and quizzes, adhering to instructor guidelines.
Support the instructor at the conclusion of each module, ensuring all documentation is complete, signed, and submitted to Administration promptly.
Check inventory and prepare supply requests for the Faculty Coordinator or Office Assistant.May assist in the preparation and duplication of instructional materials.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program recognized by the U.S.
Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or equivalent training from a recognized institution (e.g., hospital-based program) in Respiratory Therapy OR a minimum of four (4) years of relevant training and experience for instructors not holding a degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Three (3) years of practical experience in a hospital/clinical setting as a Respiratory Therapist.Preferred: One (1) year of teaching experience in an accredited respiratory therapy program.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. State license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
Current licensure, certification, or other credentials as mandated by local, state, or federal regulations to practice in the respiratory therapy field.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.

$35.00 to $40.00 per hour
