Position Summary
The Anesthesia Technician Specialist plays a crucial role in the surgical environment by ensuring that all anesthesia equipment and supplies are properly prepared and maintained. This position provides essential support to anesthesia professionals throughout the surgical process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of anesthesia apparatus and materials, ensuring readiness for surgical procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels of anesthesia supplies, placing orders as necessary, and addressing any supply-related concerns with the anesthesia team.
- Review operating room schedules to determine equipment requirements for upcoming surgeries.
- Prepare the operating room for anesthesiologists, ensuring all necessary equipment is in place.
- Calibrate and test monitoring devices to ensure accurate functionality.
- Support anesthesiologists in preparing anesthesia equipment for each surgical intervention.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician in a healthcare environment.
- Experience is defined as proficiency in acquiring, preparing, setting up, and maintaining anesthesia equipment for both standard and complex surgical procedures.
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program is required.
