Athletic Training Specialist

As an Athletic Trainer with JAG Physical Therapy, you will provide high-quality athletic training services to individuals and organizations affiliated with our outreach programs. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for athletes to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective athletic training programs for contracted organizations, including the creation of policies and procedures manuals.
- Provide athletic training services at events and competitions, ensuring the well-being of athletes.
- Assess, treat, and rehabilitate injuries, maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with JAG PT policies and state licensure standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to control environmental hazards, promoting a safe playing environment.
- Design and deliver educational programs on health and fitness topics to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities.
- Act as a workers' compensation case manager, handling claims and reporting incidents within HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
- Collaborate with other JAG PT professionals, including physical therapists and physicians, to provide comprehensive care.
- Communicate regularly with supervising physicians to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Assist with departmental administrative duties and contribute to departmental improvement and growth projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program.
- BOC certification and maintenance of 50 CEUs every two years.
- Licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of practice.
- Department of Education clearance (if working in secondary schools).
- Current BLS certification.
- Maintain Personal Liability Insurance.
