StartUs GmbH is seeking a talented Data Science Lead to join our Forecasting team in New York. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the development and implementation of predictive models that drive business decisions at Spotify.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms;
  • Collaborating with data engineers to design and implement scalable data pipelines;
  • Providing data-driven insights to inform business strategy and decision-making;
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency;
  • Mentoring junior team members to develop their skills and expertise.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science;
  • At least 8 years of experience in data science or a related field, preferably in a publicly traded technology firm;
  • Expertise in machine learning, statistics, and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL;
  • Familiarity with big data processing frameworks like Hadoop or Spark is a plus;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

The estimated salary for this position is $170,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
