Job Summary

Westhab Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team as a Behavioral Health Specialist. This role will be responsible for coordinating mental health and substance abuse services for individuals in a shelter setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Oversight: Supervise and provide clinical support to social services staff members.
  • Facilitate Workshops and Support Groups: Organize and lead weekly mental health and substance abuse workshops and onsite support groups for clients.
  • Coordinate Services: Ensure that clients receive appropriate recreational activities and make referrals to community and governmental agencies for services.
  • Assess and Treat Clients: Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of clients to formulate and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide Consultation Services: Offer consultation services to staff about the psycho-social needs of clients and the impact of psychosocial problems on healthcare and compliance with treatment.
  • Manage Documentation: Maintain, review, and sign off on all required documentation and reports, submitting them in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • LCSW Required: Must hold a license from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Experience and Education: At least two years' experience in specialized social work practice and supervisory experience. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Agency Profile: Westhab is a community development organization providing housing and supportive services for vulnerable members of the community.
