Service Manager - HVAC/R

At CoolSys - Refrigeration and HVAC Systems, we're looking for a skilled Service Manager to lead our HVAC/R team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for managing the service portfolio for assigned branches, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Service P/L for assigned branches, forecasting manpower requirements and prioritizing customer calls.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met, and calls are completed on a timely basis, adhering to customer rules and approving work orders.
  • Review dashboards and financial reports, taking appropriate action to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the procurement of parts and supplies, maintaining communication with customers and resolving issues or problems that impact customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain fleet, parts, and materials inventory, resolving discrepancies or problems in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school; college degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in refrigeration/HVAC service, commercial construction, or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC principles and practices, including service hour estimation, labor forecasting, and multiple disciplines involved in area of responsibility.
  • Proficiency in understanding and managing P&L, demonstrated business acumen, and ability to solve problems and apply good judgment.
  • Excellent verbal/nonverbal and written communication and presentation skills, strong customer service skills, and ability to forge strong working relationships with customers.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
  • Ability to use typical business tools, including E-Mail, Word, Excel, Work Order/Dispatch Software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, etc.
