Surgical Technologist Position

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Function as a member of the surgical team, providing support and assistance during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Participate in maintaining the readiness of the Operating Room, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Maintain a professional work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate accountability for own self-development, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification from the NBSTSA within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to work well with internal and external customers, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations, remaining calm and composed.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance, and use patient handling equipment when necessary.
