Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Community Health Service Inc. (CHSI). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert evaluation, prescription, and monitoring of psychotropic medications to our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Diagnose mental health disorders and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring patient understanding and compliance.
- Educate patients and families about mental health disorders, treatment options.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and interpreters, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding in all interactions, respecting patients' beliefs and traditions.
- Maintain detailed and culturally sensitive patient records, adhering to all privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Prepare reports as required, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies in all documentation and reporting activities.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in psychiatric nursing from an accredited institution. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, and advanced principles of abnormal psychology.
- Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on cultural competency.
- Knowledge of community resources and social services to support patients' holistic well-being.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, culturally competent mental health care to individuals and families in the community.
- Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation.
- Obtain computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook.
