Position Overview
Serving as a model for artistic instruction and individual artistry is a respected vocation that offers opportunities in educational institutions and creative hubs globally. Engaging as a fine arts model necessitates a certain level of endurance and adaptability, along with an appreciation for the educational environment and the significance of the art of drawing.
Job Responsibilities
- Ability to create captivating poses from various perspectives.
- Capacity to maintain extended poses with appropriate breaks.
- Skill in transitioning between brief poses for rapid gestural sketches.
- Comfort with a diverse range of poses.
- Openness to collaborate with instructors to create unique settings or attire for classes.
Required Qualifications
- A degree of stamina and flexibility is essential.
- Acknowledgment of the classroom environment and the discipline required for accurately depicting the human figure, as demonstrated in the application letter.
- During the appointment period, candidates must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours. For summer terms, candidates must: 1) have completed at least 6 credit hours in the preceding spring semester, or 2) be pre-enrolled for the upcoming fall semester with at least 6 credit hours, or 3) be enrolled in a summer session, or 4) be accepted for the upcoming fall semester. Candidates may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions for GRA/GTA/GA roles do not apply to this position.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual.
- Previous experience in nude modeling is advantageous.
