Radiologic Technologist: Imaging Expert

Estimated Salary: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour, with the possibility of on-call pay and overtime.
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Next Move Healthcare in Salem, Virginia. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality radiographs using advanced equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them correctly, adjusting immobilization devices, and configuring equipment settings for optimal exposure factors.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce accurate and high-quality radiographs, maintaining the highest standards of quality control.
- Review each exam for technical accuracy, ensuring correct anatomical orientation on all images.
- Document patient care services and procedures in patient and department records.
- Assist radiologists in administering medications and providing care to patients as needed.
- Participate in emergency on-call rotations to meet department needs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training required.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory.
- State licensure in Virginia must be in process by the time of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
- Membership with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) is highly valued.
