The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and relationship-driven, ready to join a dynamic, customer-centric retail lending team as a Loan Officer. Responsibilities will include originating permanent single-family (1-4) FHA, VA, and conventional mortgage loans. This entails building connections with the community, including real estate agents, builders, and buyers/sellers; analyzing market trends; and crafting a personal marketing strategy to identify and engage potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate and finalize real estate mortgage loans that adhere to established criteria.
  • Assess clients' financial requirements and provide insights on various loan options.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with real estate agents and other referral sources within the bank's lending market.
  • Achieve monthly production targets.
  • Collaborate with the Secondary Marketing Manager to ensure loans are locked at the appropriate rates.
  • Offer constructive feedback regarding products and pricing trends in the real estate market.
  • Participate in staff and departmental meetings as needed.
  • Contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • Develop personal marketing initiatives to enhance business growth.
  • Regularly travel to meet clients and referral sources, dedicating approximately 30-40% of time to external sales activities.
  • Prepare presentations for loan committees, including comprehensive evaluations of borrowers' financial situations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in mortgage lending sales with strong customer service and sales skills.
  • A proven history of developing successful business relationships.
  • A valid driver's license is required for essential duties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong project management skills and proactive problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and team-building expertise.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels, work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to change.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and mortgage banking software.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to exceptional customer service.
