Court Security Officer II

Job Summary
This is a challenging role that requires a high level of security awareness and the ability to respond to emergency situations. The Court Security Officer II will be responsible for enforcing courtroom and court facility policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce courtroom and court facility policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Assess and respond to emergency situations, including potentially violent and disruptive situations.
- Operate and maintain various electronic equipment, including paging systems, audiovisual systems, and surveillance cameras.
- Direct individuals in court proceedings, including seating and notifying court personnel and parties involved.
- Inspect the courtroom and court facility for explosives, firearms, and weapons, and search individuals entering the facility.
- Prepare records and reports, including log notes and incident reports.
- Use automated information systems to enter, update, and retrieve data.
Requirements
- 6 months experience in security, including providing protective services to persons, facilities, or grounds.
- 6 months experience in record keeping.
- 6 months experience in using an automated information system.
- Knowledge of courtroom procedures, including seating, swearing in of witnesses, and accepting and presenting evidence.
